The Elizabethtown Share The Road Bicycle Tour - Saturday Sept. 19, 2009
The event will include 5 tour routes including a 6 mile city ride and countryside routes of 15, 35, 50, 62 miles in length.
The start and finish point will be Bullmoose Brothers Bicycles at 218 Helm Street in historic downtown ELizabethtown, Kentucky.
The tour cost of $10.00 perperson will include food and drinks at sag stops, a Lions Club grilled lunch at Bullmoose Brothers Bicycle Shop, and a Share The Road t-shirt.
Door prizes will be awarded.
Parents are encouraged to bring their children. Children under the age of 12 will ride and eat free. Parents and children must wear helmets. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult.
There will be a Road Safety Clinic conducted by Adam Lobert of Bullmoose Brothers Bicycles.
The clinic will offer information and techniques to promote safety and self-confidence for beginners of all ages.
Educational information will be available regarding rules of the road, group riding and bicycle laws in Kentucky.
Helmets are mandatory! No Exceptions! The tour is not a race. Everyone is encouraged to ride at his/her own comfortable pace.
Registration opens at 8:30 a.m.

Bullmoose Brothers Bicycles, the Central Kentucky Wheelmen, and the local Lion's club invite you and your families to the "Share The Road Tour" on Saturday, September 19th. Join us for this great family event. Registration for the ride begins at 8:30am at Bullmoose Brothers. The Tour will include a 6 mile city ride, 15, 35, 50, and 62 mile country rides. After the ride, the E-town Lions Club will cook lunch. The cost is only $10 and includes lunch and a t-shirt! Click here for more details.
But wait - there's more! On Sunday, September 20th, the folks at Bullmoose Brothers Bicycles, will be hosting a Bike Friday workshop. Learn about the history of this unique bicycle company based in Eugene, Oregon. Adam and his crew will have 25 Bike Friday's on hand for you to view and test ride!
